Mizuno Wave Mujin TL

One of my top 5 releases for 2021 so far, especially this version. Part of the recently released Artefact Pack, this pair come coloured in muted dusty blues. Making it an insanely understated yet striking release.

Being a hiking/trail walking model. The shoe itself is somewhat of a hybrid, with the upper and sole unit actually coming from 2 different shoes. During the late 90s/early 2000s famed Mizuno designer Tuan Le (creator of the Wave Rider 1), designed the upper that is featured on this model to be used on a different shoe. Sadly it was never used and was stocked away in the archive.

Moving forward to the present day however, we now find ourselves graced with this beautifully designed upper. Set upon the brands popular Mujin 7 sole unit. (Hence the name Mujin TL (Tuan Le)). The sole unit is comprised of a Wave plate, running through the dual sensitive EVA midsole and reinforced by a heavy wearing Michelin outsole.
